Parkland is well known for the expanse of bike trails that the City maintains for residents' recreational use. Within the past two years, the City has completed most of the requested path and trail connections (with the exception of the North Pine Tree Project).
This progress allows residents to travel from the eastern edge of the City to the western edge of the City. We now have over 10 miles of continuous pathways for everyone to enjoy.
Share the Road
As the City's population increases, and more and more residents and visitors are using bikes for transportation throughout the City, motorists are reminded to share the roadway with bicycles. Bicycles have a legal right to roadway usage and usually keep to the extreme right side in the flow of traffic. Some Parkland roads have bike lanes while others do not. Common courtesy should prevail as we all share the roadways.
